What I wish I could say...

What I wish I could say is that I got out my Gypsy Queen and did a tonne of stitching this week. What I'm going to say is that I got hardly any stitching done and only worked on my Lakeside Needle Craft Fantasy SAL.
Oops.
I've just been so tired recently. Not just physically but emotionally too. I think I need a holiday.
Oh well.
So here is my progress.

Not too bad.
What I need is a child free, long weekend just to drink coffee, eat good food and stitch.
Oh well, I can dream ;)
Happy stitching!

I'm a bad girl!

It happened. I was being so good and then my self control ran away! Haha.
I had a new start and how could I not? Everywhere I look I see the Lakeside Needle Craft SAL and I needed it. Also, when my 3 year old saw that cute little Wizard he got so excited. So really, I had no choice! :)
I've decided to stitch it on a piece of 28ct Even weave from Sew It All. It's hand-dyed and the piece is called 'Mist Forrest'.

Here's my progress from the week.

I am absolutely in love with this and I'm finding it really hard to put it away to work on Gypsy Queen but then I remember how beautiful she is and get excited all over again. Hopefully I'll pick her up this week.
Thanks for reading,
Have fun stitching. :)

Progress and a Christmas Mouse!

Hey!
SO as per usual, I didn't get as much stitching done as I would have liked but every stitch is one stitch closer to a finish. ;)

So here is some progress on Gypsy Queen,

Sorry about the terrible photos.
I did some more of the blue pillar and then the colours that I didn't have arrived so I went back and filled in some of the purple sash and started a blended orange colour in her skirt.

While I'm still in love with Gypsy Queen, I did take a little break from her to stitch up a free magazine kit.

This is one of three Christmas mice from a free Margaret Sherry kit in an issue of WOCS.
I think he's extra cute and I'll probably stick him onto a card for my sister for Christmas.

Well that's all for now, See you soon!

Quick Update

I'm back!
Just thought that seeing as I had been gone for so long my blog may deserve an after weekend update.
So here's my work on Gypsy Queen from this weekend.

I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but the little man got a stomach bug so I was on vigilant Mum duties. Haha.
Hope you all had a good stitchy weekend!

1 year or 4 days..?

Well Hello!
Has it really been a year? I'm so sorry for being gone for so long.

What have I been doing? Well firstly, there is no boyfriend anymore, I now have a 9-5 job, my 2 year old is now a 3-nager, I adopted a Ginger cat (Tiggy) and I have been sick almost constantly. So yeah, probably why I haven't been around much. But I'm back, I've gotten my cross stitch bug back and I've recruited some stitchy friends too.

I haven't really worked on any of my old WIPS from last time sadly. Just a few stitched here and there, So instead I'll just show you what I've been working on recently:

Yes, this is Gypsy Queen by Mirabilia. I'm stitching it on the recommended fabric.
She is so pretty! And everyone was working on her so I couldn't help myself.
Well there you go, I'll hopefully be back to weekly updates from now on! Can't wait to catch up on all your posts that I've missed. I'll leave you pictures of my cats and son!
Happy Stitching!

The boyfriend is evil...

And very distracting. Haha.
Hey guys, just a quick post to say that there will be no post...well, now there is but you get what I mean. The boyfriend has been a huge distraction and he's been making me play video games. ;)
Hopefully there will be progress for next weeks post! I hope you all got more done than I did!
Until next time,
Nel.

Cookies, fun and stitching.

Hello Again!
What a week! We've been all go this week and the weekend wasn't much different. I won't bore you with our schedule but I will show you some photos of the DS enjoying himself and the cookies he helped me make today.

He's a bit of a dork. I have no idea where he gets it. ;)
The week wasn't very busy for one of us though.

It's safe to say that someone has settled in very well and is one very happy and spoilt Kitty.

Now to stitching! I only worked on Halloween town this week and while I didn't get as much as I would have liked done, I did manage to finish the left hand side I was working on. Here are some progress shots and the piece so far.

Ta-da! :) Not too bad if I do say so myself.
Well that's all for today!
Thank you for reading and commenting!
Until next time,
Nel.
